GLOBAL KOREA SCHOLARSHIP (GKS)

ELIGIBILITY :

-Applicants’ parents (or legal guardians) must hold citizenship from another country other than Korea.

-Bachelor’s degree program is for applicants who graduated (or are expected to graduate) from a high school or from an associate degree program – Associate degree program is for applicants who graduated (or are expected to graduate) from a high school

-Score percentile should be 80% or above on a 100-point scale or be ranked within the top 20%. (form 4 & 5)

-Must be under 25 years of age

-All applicants must have no grounds for disqualification (e.g., criminal history) for overseas travel

-All applicants must be in good health, both mentally and physically, to study in Korea for the full duration of the program

BENEFITS :

-Airfare : Economy class flight ticket (actual expense)

-Settlement Allowance : 200,000KRW

-Monthly Allowance : 900,000KRW/month

-Korean Proficiency Grants : 100,000KRW/month

-Degree Completion Grants : 100,000

-Medical Insurance : Standard amount set by NIIED

-Language Training Fee

-Tuition Fee

Program Khas Jepun, Korea, Perancis dan Jerman (JKPK)

ELIGIBILITY :

-Malaysian citizen

-Candidates must in good health

-The mother/ father is not blacklisted by the JPA or in litigation JPA

-Must be sitting for the SPM examination for the first time, either at a secondary school or as a private candidate.

-Must be under 19 years old, or under 20 years old for transition students (peralihan) , as of December 31 in the year the SPM examination is taken.

-The applicant does not receive financial support / sponsorship of any agency of the same level of education.

-Only eligible for Engineering and Science & Technology program

BENEFITS :

All JPA Scholarships for 2024 are “Convertible Loans”

As with the previous years, all JPA scholarships are in the form of convertible loans (pinjaman boleh ubah). What this means is that the scholarship is essentially a loan that can be converted to a full or partial scholarship.

Here’s how the convertible loan model works:

Full scholarship (no loan repayment): If you serve as a public servant in the civil service upon graduation
25% loan repayment: If you work in a Government-Linked Company (GLC) upon graduation
50% loan repayment: If you work in a company in the private sector in Malaysia upon graduation
Full loan repayment: All other situations

SCHOLARSHIP PROVIDED BY UNIVERSITY

-Scholarships are awarded based on your TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) results.

-Scholarships are granted based on the student’s GPA.
